Help in choosing the correct refund reason
Hi to the wonderful forum world.
I have a return from a customer that order incorrectly back in July, he can not open a return but out of niceness I have asked him to send them back for a refund we have agreed that there will be a reduction in postal costs to us. I can partial refund BUT the reasons in the drop down menu are all leaning towards a defect i.e late delivery, missing parts etc etc… these are not the reasons why, they have admitted that what they bought was completely the wrong item entirely. Complicated world of microphone and microphone adapters I wouldnt bore you all with the exact reason lol.
I need help in choosing a partial refund reason or even a full refund reason without giving myself a defect. Thanking you in advance.

I’m not actually sure where they apply the refund reasons in relevance to your account therefore in these circumstances i tend to opt for ‘general adjustment’

Thank you, yes I was looking in the partial refund link this does not give me a general adjustment option only BAD SELLER options lol.
So really have no other option but to fully refund under the general adjustment? will this give me a defect?

Thanks all and yes in hindsight I could of but such a faff for the sake of minus the postal costs.
Ive refunded in full and moved on… like we all do in the end.
But thanks I will keep that in mind, I always forget its easier for the customer to contact Amazon lol!
