BUyer received the item but cannot raise a retturns request - Coz it says waiting to be delivered.
We recd following mesg from customer.
"I have received the item but would like to return it. But on my account it says the item has been dispatched and is still expecting to be delivered. In order to return it it needs to be marked as delivered".
what to do in this situation? why Amazon system has been re-designed now in such a way that even though customer recieves the item , they cannot raise a returns requested becoz the tracking information from 3rd party courier is not fully updated. why has this silly dependency been created on the 3rd party courier's tracking data?
furthermore amazon seems to be actively and proactively prompting customers to raise a claim on the sellers for non delivery simply becoz the tracking data does not say delivered and item has actually been delivered.
these claims are coming from customer 3-4 weeks after the delivery date has passed and there is a marked spike in that recently.
we have simply refunded buyers to avoid A-z Claim. But this has left us a feeling frustrated and upset and a feeling unfairness in that someone has stolen something from us.
All becoz system designers are far removed from actual ground reality.
