Just out of the blue today I received this;

I would happily leave you a 5 star detailed and truthful review, if you send me a product for free.

I am not sure that is how Amazon works? Anyway reported the customer/buyer and just sent a basic response saying no unfortunately we do not send free products out.
Does this seriously work 
Anyone else received this type of message before?

Did the message come via Amazon or direct to your e-mail address? If the latter, it’s probably a phishing/scam e-mail. Anyway, Yes, demanding free products in exchange for good reviews is not allowed by Amazon and should get the “buyer” suspended (but probably won’t, unfortunately)
