Refund - Goodwill

by Seller_8IYTW1LPZFPUG

Hi there,

Today I noticed I had a charge for £100 labelled as ‘goodwill’ on a refund for £7.49… This is the first time I’ve come across this, if it’s happened before it’s slipped under my radar. This was an FBA order.

I’ve read what this is but has anyone ever dealt with this before? Is there any way to apply for the money back? It seems excessive. I know the T&C allows Amazon to do this but I’m looking for practical information if possible.

I’ve had several of these over the years - always for crazy amounts relative to the original purchase like yours. They always refund them in full within 48 hours.

Have never had this, though have seen others report the same scenario.
What right have Amazon to do this ? - surely it is tantamount to theft ?
