Surely "Generic" Listings where not suppose to brand owner from listing there products???

Hi, Amazon,

Moderators please can you escalate this, I've already sent emails to the jeff@amazon.com team and the resolution-uk-sellers@amazon.co.uk, as seller support and brand registry support as usual, offer zero support and or help and just close your case and tell you go elsewhere and raise it with a different team.

@Seller_VJ4XoAkjDpjPH @Ash_AMZ @Ezra_Amazon @Jessica_Amazon_ @Maja_Amazon @Sarah_Amzn @Winston_Amazon

This is Classic Amazon caught between two teams, being brushed off with no idea how to raise this or escalate to get this fixed.

I’m currently the brand owner for “Colour Bomb by Maverick” in the UK, and this is recognized in the UK brand registry.

I’ve done various things, such creating a variation list add added A+ content. Currently there 8 ASIN’s listed on Amazon UK, however they have produced another two products. So when I uploaded them using the Amazon category specific bulk uploader, I got some random error messages stopping me from adding these two new listings a "5885" and "5886" error, which I raised with seller support (case id: 10476169982).

Who came back with this.

“Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support, We understand that you are contacting us for the error_5885 error that you are facing while adding a product. We’ve identified that you’re attempting to contribute to a restricted generic ASIN that you haven’t contributed to in the past, such as by trying to change the detail page or create or update an offer. To be able to make changes, such as extending this ASIN to a new store, creating a new variation relationship, updating ASIN attributes or adding offers to sell the product, you must create a new ASIN by following the process as outlined in our Add a Product tool. For more information, go to Amazon’s Generic Product policy: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G84H3T69ZX762NWT To help us continually improve, we ask that you take a moment to complete our survey below to tell us about your experience with this specific interaction. Were you satisfied with the support provided”.

Anyway, after a few conversations back and forth with seller support, I learned that somebody has already used the two barcodes associated with my brand to create “Generic” listings in the amazon.se catalog. Now, Amazon doesn’t recognize the barcodes as belonging to my brand, as they have been used to create “generic” listings in the amazon.se marketplace. So now I can’t use these barcodes to create my listings, as Amazon sees this as “generic” and not belonging to my branded products.

The two variations and barcode are:

VIOLET POWER 250ml barcode: (0000073165859)

B0BN4G6881 on Amazon Sweden (for some the discussion board won't let post the direct links on here???)

and

PINK 250ml barcode: (0000073165804)

B095PLJL81 on Amazon Sweden

The following ASINs: B095PLJL81 & B0BN4G6881 already added in Amazon.se under the Generic brand name, as whoever created these is isn't registered to use the Colour Bomb by Maverick brand.

So, I've raised a violation with seller performance team, in Sweden, unless you’re the registered brand owner, I don’t think they even bother to look at this stuff. I won't hear anything back from them, especially as I'm not registered for brand in Sweden, which requires me to provide a European registered trademark, which the brand doesn’t have. So basically, I’m not expecting much from them.

The UK brand registry team has completely brushed me off and said this this an issue which only the seller performance team in SE can fix.

So now I can't create the additional variations despite ,me being registered in the brand registry for these products, because someone else has used these barcodes prior to me, and registered them as “generic” and now Amazon sees these barcodes as "generic", the response from brand registry is put this on to the seller performance team who may or may not do anything about it? Also, they won't send me an update to let me know what they have or haven't done, as they simply don't tell you this or give you this information regarding the outcome.

Please can you look into this and escalate or raise this with the correct team in amazon.se to remove these "generic" listings as they aren't generic they are registered to Maverick and Hair Beauty Limited. I'm the registered brand owner in Amazon UK and can't list my products because someone has used them against a "generic" product, this is classic Amazon, being brushed off to another department, if they do nothing about it then I'm stuck and can't list the products despite being the registered brand owner according to Amazon, due to the actions of someone else, I now can't list my products, through no fault of my own ?????

Finally "generic" listings should never be used like this, presumbly this a clear breach of Generic Listing Policy.

Please can you assist in getting this issue fixed.
