Used Book ---> Return Reason: Missing parts or accessories
Rarely do I post here, as it seems like a futile Seinfeld episode trying to order soup...
Sold a used book, ASIN 1948014114.
Customer is returning for "Return Reason: Missing parts or accessories".
On rare occasions a book might have some additional media/ etc. but I do not see any additional items that might have come with this paperback.
Return was Auto-authorized, via UPS for $5.98, on a book that sold for $9.97.
I know I am vacating into the wind, but for S's and G's, wonder if there is anything one can do, except to add to the forum fodder?
Kind Regards.

Amazon won't help any seller complaining about returns, whether justified or not. It's mission statement basically makes it clear it will do anything to "delight the customer" regardless.

Maybe they just hit the return reason to get a full refund. It's also possible they have you confused with another seller & you will not be getting it back anyway. You can assume this if you don't see any action in a month or so. And yes, you are just venting here, nothing to be done.

That book is drivel, and most customers who buy it are missing parts.
This is the type of person you are dealing with ( quoted from the reviews ): "As a Christian woman my whole life and very devoted to my love for Christ I began having terrible nightmares and sleep paralysis issues again after almost 10 years immediately once this book was in my home. I began to feel anxious and angry for no reason. I would advise that Christians be careful with even material like this in their homes. Maybe it’s the pictures of those evil people in the book, the picture on the cover……not sure. But once my husband took the book out of the house things got better immediately! I am happy for the authors that they found Christ, and happy they are sharing the truth about the New Age and truth of Jesus, but I personally am very sensitive to anything this book talks about and for me it just could not be in my home."
It is the kind of book that you should sell on ebay where you are partially protected from such people.

For less than $20, it isn't worth the headache. That being said, if you've got some prescription strength ibuprofen at the ready, you could try reaching out to the customer asking what parts it was missing. I'd use something like "Your return reason stated the book was missing parts, but I cannot seem to figure out which parts were missing. Could you please let us know what we're overlooking so that we can update this listing and avoid making the same mistake in the future?" You likely won't get a response, but it is worth a try.
If you listed the book in used-good or used-acceptable conditions, it is allowed to have missing media according to Amazon's stated condition guidelines for used books (https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201889720)

Hello @Seller_8dIExC6nwc6hQ
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.
Before you issue a refund for a return request, we strongly advise that you wait until you receive the item back from the buyer. If the buyer returns the item to you damaged or in a condition that is different from the condition in which you sent it, you have the option to issue a partial refund. If you decide to issue a partial refund, we recommend explaining this to the buyer in advance to help avoid misunderstanding or a possible A-to-z Guarantee claim. If you described and listed the item accurately but the buyer just no longer wants it or made an ordering mistake, you may refund the item price but not refund the shipping cost.
In some circumstances, you can charge a restocking fee when a buyer returns an item. These circumstances include when an item is returned outside of Amazon's return policy or in used, damaged, or materially different condition.
You can file a SAFE-T Claim if Amazon authorized a return or refund on your behalf that you believe should not have been authorized.
I have included some help pages below for your reference if needed;
Reimbursement policy for prepaid return labels in the seller-fulfilled network
Manage seller-fulfilled returns
Returns, refunds, cancellations, and claims
Guidelines for charging restocking fees
Please feel free to update this thread with the related order ID number if you need additional assistance and I can take a look.

Amazon would rather your business burn down, with your hard work destroyed, just so their bottom line remains in tact. Remember were just plebs to the great Caesar Bezos

Many books come with card inserts or a CD, not rare at all.

Amazon's return policy is a bad joke, and nobody's laughing, none of us vendors anyway.

Hey that not so bad how would you like to sell a brand new item in original packaging and get it back as GARBAGE THAT YOU have to throw out $99.00

Maybe the book was missing a page or something.
