Funds Frozen - Unable to Opt-in for UK VOEC
Hello all, we sell our branded products in the UK marketplace through our UK limited company. Although we are incorporated in the UK, my company falls into the NETP category and Amazon is responsible for collecting and remitting VAT to HMRC since 2021. That being said, I have been unable to opt in for UK VOEC program because Amazon has always categorized UK-established companies as exempt from UK VOEC. This was until today as I had all funds frozen worldwide due to un-met UK establishment requirements.
My question is this: I have been unable to opt-in for UK VOEC and now I am being punished for not being included in this scheme. I am speechless and not sure how I can solve this problem. Any thoughts?

Hello @Seller_ZczHqytoxS9Xv
Thank you for sharing on the forums.
Regarding your issue, I recommend checking the information provided by Amazon on UK VAT on e-Commerce (UK VOEC) Legislation – 2021
Pay close attention to the sections on UK VOEC: Determination of "Establishment".
I hope this information proves helpful. Keep us updated on your progress.
Cheers, Ezra
