Refunded for no reason

Help!! Amazon has given back a refund to a customer as they were saying they didn't receive the items. I have picture proof of the bag at the site and a name and time and date of delivery. How can I appeal this as it seems Amazon has ignored my appeal on Monday morning?

Any help needed as this is a large amount of money

Hey,

Can you advise what triggered the refund. Has an A-Z Case been opened by the Customer, or have Amazon refunded them directly via their Customer Support ?

Sounds like they made an A-Z claim. If they did not contact you before they made this claim, you should be able to challenge it.

Would be interested to know what shipping service you used? Buy shipping via Amazon or did you use your own carrier?

I am seeing this happen on my account recently. I use the Amazon buy shipping option and so far in all cases where the tracking is showing delivered Amazon have refnded me. Makes me wonder who then covers that cost. Do Amazon go back to the buyer and re-charge them? I doubt it.

So do I but I don't get refunded, I normally have to appeal to have my ODR back to zero as it should be.

Let me confirm.

You use the Amazon buy shipping process to buy the labels.

The carrier and Amazon tracking show delivered

If that is correct there is no reason that Amazon should refuse a refund to your account. What reason do they give?

With regard to your ODR, I have had zero joy in ever getting that corrected. I had a case where Amazon accepted that an order was shipped late due to , in their words " as system glitch" and even then they quoted there are not exceptions to be considered. I even got a message in the forum from @Spencer_Amazon who was going to look into it .........that was 10 days ago and I have heard nothing!!

Yeah - Buy Shipping is 'supposed' to protect your account from problems with delivery - but like you I have had little success. I did manage get a few overturned after a mod got involved and was even promised by them that Amazon were looking into a method to make sure it did not happen again - but it did, and the mod stopped responding on the issue. I have now given up on Buy Shipping and use Click & Drop.

As for whether or not an A-Z is upheld when tracking shows delivered seems to be very hit and miss and seems to depend on which support worker you get to look at the case. Some will insist a signature has to be obtained (even though most couriers do not collect signatures anymore). Pictures of delivery and GPS coords of where scanned is not always sufficient proof in Amazon eyes. Whether or not Buy Shipping or Click & Drop was used seems to make little difference on whether a A-Z is upheld or not - it all seems to depend on the support worker who looks into the issue.

Unlike you I always managed to get the ODR corrected but I had to fight for it every single time. I have my Royal Mail's Business Accoiunt connected to Amazon and I buy the labels through Amazon. But before I did this I was buying from Buy Shipping: Evri and Royal Mail labels. Never been refunded.

Yes - its the fight that was just taking up too much of my time.

Its a policy of Amazon - I mean its there in black and white on the Buy Shipping help page that metrics would be protected from ALL delivery issues when Buy Shipping is used. I even got told once by one support worker that it meant only late delivery issues and not when item got lost so delivery was never attempted!

My RM Account is also linked to Buy Shipping. I have had the issue both when using Buy Shipping via the Amazon seller central orders page and also when using Packing Partner which buys the labels from Amazon via the Buy Shipping API so for all intents and purposes is exactly the same.

As I said it was just taking up too much of my time. Luckily it is fairly rare and I worked out my account is in good standing otherwise and so could take the odd hit in this way so I decided not to continue wasting my time and switched to using just Click & Drop.
