Potential trademark misuse

Hello All,

I list used books on Az and have just had 4 books that have already been sold appear on my Account Health Page as “SUSPECTED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY VIOLATIONS” and have had their Detail Pages Removed: - ASINs: 0553113453, 0752209361, 0786911883 and 0553012029

These are books relating to Batman, Star Trek or Magic The Gathering

Obviously I would like to eliminate these violations, but identifying and writing to the Brand Owners for permission to sell books that I no longer have in stock seems both time consuming and pointless

When I look at the Edit Page for some of them they do not seem to be identified as books, but request information on e.g. Closure Type and is_adult_product

Should I Delete Product and Listing
Should I not amend anything and wait out the 180 days

Obviously I would like to avoid any further Suspected Intellectual Property Violations…

Any advice would be welcome

Thank you

Brian

Definitely, and do the same for any other out-of-stock items that you don’t intend or expect to sell again. Then wait out the 180 days, unless you get another warning

If you don’t have any copies to sell then deleting is probably the easiest.

Just a side note here. Amazon are actually incorrect here. You do not need the copyright owners permission to sell used books even if they contain trademarks.
