Potentially fraudulent buyer (again!)
Dear forum folks, need your advice again please!
Timeline:
18.11 Buyer buys B08G4RGSLZ
01.01 Buyer messages me saying that “when it was opened non of the pieces fit together to make a buggy! very disappointing!!!”
01.01 I respond asking to clarify what she meant by “not fitting together”
27.01 Return authorised for the item with comments from the buyer “it’s a box of random pieces of lego, i have taken several photographs as evidence, There is not even 4 tyres and certainly nothing that looks remotely like the picture on the box.”
So I am expecting to receive some random mess back any day now.
What my options would be? It is quite an expensive item and it feels buyer is trying to get an item for free…
Thanks!!!

Provided it’s a genuine Lego set, it’s very, very unlikely to be incorrect. If they are returning something, I would imagine they will now get a refund on first scan, so you would need to raise a safe t claim on the item being returned with photography to show the goods are materially different to that sent out.

Rough translation…
Bought Christmas present
Made present
Lost a couple of pieces
Feeling skint cos it’s ages since payday so will return it as defective so no return costs…
Or am I just cynical?!

Oh boy, so received the “item” back today. Literally 3 pieces of plastic which look like battery chargers with some stains and hair on them. Nothing else.
So I issued a 99% reduction on a refund, told the buyer I am happy to issue full refund if I get the original item back.
Only did 99% reduction because I saw on a forum if I apply 100% then the order may qualify for auto-refund?
Anyway, order was placed 74 days ago, so don’t care about metrics but of course the buyer may leave a feedback…
Anything else to be aware of at this stage? I am now just expecting an A-Z which will be granted by Amazon
