Extra Items in FBA shipment
Hi Guys, Can anyone help with an issue i have with an FBA shipment ( possibly a silly question but i cannot find an answer anywhere )
I have sent 1 extra item by mistake, the item is small so it is an easy mistake to make so it should have been 118 and i have sent 119pcs
It is not saying this is a shipment defect but is does say :
Shipment closed with discrepancies
No shipment problems found
We’ve found discrepancies between the number of units that we received and the number that we expected.
My Question is this extra unit does not seem to have been added to my FBA inventory - do i have to submit a ’ proof of ownership ’ invoice to get it to be added on my inventory or if you send extra on top of amount you have said will they add the extra units to inventory ?
Many Thanks

Hi
This will just go into your stock, it is a bit of a ticking off and ensuring you agree with it and if so just accept it and move on, it will show in your stock and will be treated as you submitting 119 units.
Don’t worry, Amazon sometimes get it wrong as well and you can either ask them to investigate or just accept their version.
I have had it whereby they have said I have 2 units short on a shipment which I know was correct and on my next shipment it then shows I have sent an additional 2 in. I think it is a case that Amazon have found missing units and allocated them.
It truly isn’t much of an issue but they will get upset if it keeps happening.

oh I haven’t really seen this before when it comes as a slight over or under statement. It could be something new that is required and wouldn’t like to speculate.
You usually get the invoice request when you are in dispute and asking for an investigation to take place. If you are accepting that you made a mistake on the numbers and agree with their appraisal I am not sure why they would need the invoice for verification.
Hopefully someone else with this experience may be able to jump in and help. It is not usually a good thing to ignore any kind of request from Amazon, they usually come back and bite you so best to take a cautious approach.
