Retiring - is my seller account worth anything

I am retiring and was wondering if my seller account is worth anything. I don’t want to sell my Limited company which is registered with my account. I sell under a different name which is a trademarked brand which in turn is part of Amz Brand Registry program. I have sold part time for the last 4 years selling mainly one product which has 6 colour variations and has several hundred 4.5 star reviews in the UK and more in Europe. The product is sold by a UK wholesaler who has it made in China to their specification - I just private label it. The products are also enlisted into Amazon’s transparency program so no one can hijack my listings. There is a much bigger range of this product and similar products available from the wholesaler so scope to expand. Gross monthly sales have been between £6000- £8000 per month which equates to about 100 - 130 units per month.
Apolgies if this is the wrong place for this post but looking for some help - thanks

The usual guide price is about 36 x average monthly profit.

That’s a very rough guide though and the real price will depend on factors such as how much time running it takes up, FBA or not, sales on other marketplaces, if you have a website, mailing list, potential for growth etc.

There are several specialist websites such as Empire Flippers that broker online business sales.

I would say its worth nothing other than stock/equipment value,as far as I’m aware you cannot transfer owership of an Amazon account.
Of course someone else could sell the items you sell in way you sell them but would need to do it from a new account or an account they have control of & there would be added value in that situation.

is this a ltd company? if so, it will worth something… even if you sell the agent part; there are many ways to do so. Much depends on how it is setup and turnover etc.

if the account you are thinking to transfer is personal (i.e self-employed), then there is no chance of doing so due to the legal entity.

@Graham_Cooper How long you been selling on amzn ? how many transactions made (6000+) / how many buyer feedbacks have you received for these transactions ?

The stock you hold is where the money lies - the amzn account probably worth £0.01. why would a prospective buyer want your seller account when they can start their own.

As far as I am concerned, Amazon lately added a button called transfer account.
That would indicate that your Amazon business is possible to sell and transfer ownership to the new owner.
Whether you will be able to find the customer or not is a different story.
Since you are white labelling someone else product, there is very little value to it, because everyone can do the same…

No. I have been through this recently. It will be nearly impossible for the new owner to get ID verification and who will get the account suspended in all likelihood. Amazon is run by the computer algorithm and you won’t get any sense out of an Amazon representative (if you can get hold of them) so they won’t help. You can sell your stock and tell the owner of the stock to set up a new account. Believe me, this is from the horses mouth.

You can sell a trademark (brand) without affecting your Amazon account, yes. A trademark is a company asset and the fact the branded products are sold on Amazon is irrelevant. All you are doing is transferring a company asset to another party.

I think the only way to do it would be to sell the Limited Company and then access to the Amazon account comes as part of that. The new owner would have to go through seller verification of course which is a lottery at the best of times.

My ex-wife bought a Ltd Co. business a couple of years ago, the bulk of which is selling via its own website. It did have a dormant Amazon presence though which she has since revived with her details and it appears to be working OK.
