VTR and the problems it is causing
I have been reading a lot of info sent by Amazon re VTR and it is so confusing it’s just going in one ear and out the next.
All my items are Large Letter sent via the Royal Mail 2nd class franking and I was told by an by agent from Amazon about 12months ago that if I just clicked on ‘stamps/franking’ that was all I needed to do.
I have my own franking machine which enables me to do this myself and it has been very successful for the past few years now with no issues.
I am 70yrs old, really not good with technology and don’t understand anything they are asking me to do. My husband was the brains of the business but he passed away a couple of years ago years ago with cancer and asked me to carry on. I really fear that I am going to lose the business

It changed in March. You used to be ok to mark it that way, but they sent out a bunch of email blasts, notification in the news section of the site etc saying it’s not anymore.
If you have an OBA with Royal Mail and are using Click and Drop to buy postage code BPL, then you need to let Click and Drop give Amazon the tracking information. Your VTR score will be low but Amazon will verify the tracking numbers and you’ll be fine for VTR.
If you’re buying through a Personal Click and Drop, you’ll likely have a code that is no good for VTR, and your best bet is to start buying postage through Buy Shipping, which will be automatically valid or exempt.
If you’re buying from a post office, the postage receipt will have a parcel ID number for each parcel. You need to enter that when confirming dispatch through Amazon. Select Royal Mail as Courier, Royal Mail 2nd Class as service, and type the parcel ID code into the Tracking ID box. This will also give you a low VTR but Amazon will verify the numbers and you’ll be fine.
Remember that because the report operates on a lag, any changes you make now won’t be reflected in the report until around 6 weeks from now.
I think what will be simplest for you is to use Amazon Buy Shipping. Do you know where on the site to do that?

Thank you so much, I’ve just printed off your reply which is really helpful and I will have another go tomorrow. I will also speak with my franking machine provider to see if they can help in any way.
I really appreciate your help, you’re a star x

Hiya,
Sorry we also use a franking machine, has anyone been told directly by Amazon that they are unable to use a franking machine anymore?
We had 4 categories closed due to low VTR , we using franking machine so don’t send anything tracked. Was told by seller support to open a case with an appeals time to reinstate all the ASINS

So if I know have to purchase all my shipping through Amazon , do I have to bulk buy shipping labels and then print the invoices and match them up ? We sell 100’s of orders a day!

Literally all of our orders are second class large letters with the few small parcels , do I have to buy all my shipping through Amazon or am I able to set up a click and drop with Royal Mail?
