Customer states they received a "wrong" item
As the title states, a customer is stating that they received a “wrong item”.
“The customer is requesting a replacement. If it isn’t possible, we’ll request that the customer returns the item for a full refund.”
I have sold 200 units and this is the first time this has happened to me. I know for a fact that the item I sent them was the correct item, and was brand new (listed as such).
I have a feeling that this customer is a scammer and is just trying to get a refund/replacement/will chargeback.
If they were to send a random item back (the tracking info will obviously show as “delivered”) or pulling a switcheroo (swapping my NEW item with their USED item), will Amazon side with them no matter what?
Thank you for your time and help, everyone.

You may wish to not sell online. This could be nothing. Probably is nothing. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it at this point.
We would simply inform the buyer how to open a return request and forget about it.

I had this just happen, and they showed me photos of another item and the package had my label and another label on it...could still be faked because I know what I sent. In my case, i refunded them and then they ordered another...who knows maybe they wanted a free one? haha
but I was wondering what would be the best way to usually go about this? especially if its a pricey item...can I somehow get refunded if it was truly a USPS error?
