Different SKU for the same ASIN
Hi everyone.
I have a products with SKU = A001 that links with ASIN = AABBCC123. I know i have sourced my SKU A001 at £1.00 - so when i look at the reports I would easily calculate my profit for SKU A001
My supplier is putting the prices up
Can I create SKU = A001_1 that will reflect a new price £1.50 that points to the same ASIN = AABBCC123 ?
This would result in having 2 SKUs pointing to the same ASIN. Both would be live until the product on first SKU A001 is sold out and i would be left with SKU A001_1
Is that allowed ?
If NOT , can you suggest a solution please ?
many thanks
Ann

You’ll struggle making another ASIN with the same barcode. Why don’t you just wait until the old stock is sold then put your prices up?

You aren’t supposed to have two active FBM offers on the one ASIN at any time, so while you can do what you want, you would ideally want to let A001 run out before you add stock to A001_1.
I am not sure if Amazon even police this policy or if its just a “suggestion” with no actual consequences, as I know people do it with items with expiration dates (each date with a new SKU but all on the same ASIN)
