A surge in A-Z Cases

Hi guys,

We have been selling on Amazon for over 10 years, and the last 5 days we have never had so many A-Z cases opened and instantly ruled in the buyers favour, we appealed supply valid tracking of successful delivery on all orders, but ruled against us.

What is the point in spending extra to send parcels tracked for the customer to open an A-Z have it ruled instantly in their favour and then our appeals rejected.

Anyone else having the same problem?

I know times are hard with money and all that but if you purchase something, atleast have the decency to pay for it not have it for free.

We have certainly seen an A-Z increase for many reasons and 100% with you on the delivery front, but huge spikes in messages claiming non delivery most have gone away when showing them full evedence.

Arross all sites we always see a spike in both claims and returns as people start to feel a pinch and look to see whats they have is “faulty” and start claiming etc. this is from items that they have had for months if not years just trying to generate cash.

allot of customers if they see any sort of thing they can say that counter the argument they are on it very sharp now.

Everything over £5 with me has a proof of postage so I can refund customer and let Royal Mail deal with them if they’re defrauding Amazon. I’ve seen a big uptick recently too, from 2/3 a month to 6 a week

Its a pity, customer uses our products for free and then return it back under A-TO-Z guarantee.
One of the customer used my electronic product for 2 months and then returned back with a false reason that it is no more working. We tested and it worked perfectly fine. They just abuse and then returned back expecting full refund.
Other customers break it physically and return it back. Its not less than stealing and vandalism…

One of my colleague sold few face lotion to a customer. tracking was not updated correctly. customer message for refund he provided exact tracking, according to tracking the product was delivered 2 hours ago. after 2 hour my colleague received a message from customer that he got eczema, burning effect in his eyes and blah blah. he straight forward call customer as he asked for return and on call he said we want to visit with team of doctor to judge and ultimately with in minute every side effect was gone and customer straight forward said he has an allergic skin so ends up ordering something else. Now what a seller can do here.

With the photo of the delivery, maybe worth trying a police report of fraud. Inform the Customer. I tried this 2 years ago. Customer called me back and told me that his wife had failed to tell him that the parcel had arrived 4 weeks earlier. And dropped his case. The photo showed a pair of hairy legs and feet, I think has a hair issue…

im getting them more and more and feedback issue for things that are out of my control e.g i cant make something for someone that wanted a custom item and i get negative feedback. and because its not against any of their policies i get an account performance strike.
i have moved to buying shittpng through amazon instead of royal mail direct just to try avoid issues as my items are far too cheap to send tracked. atleast with buying through them i seem slightly more covered

yes, the only way I have been able to get them overturned is to send a polite email to the managingdirector@amazon.co.uk email address. Be straight to the point, list the order ID’s the tracking and attach proof of delivery for each and ask for the monies to be reimbursed. If you have tracking info then you are within the policy and Amazon are the ones that are breaching their own policies.

Most of the time you either won’t get an answer or the A-z team will just issue a 'this is our final descision ‘f you’ email, which I agree is totally disgusting.

Are you Prime??

If the items are tracked and sold as Prime then just raise an SAFE-T claim against the order ID and with the proof it should get pretty much refunded within a few hours

Good luck!

i actually got an order for 4 new books £40 - wrapped. boxed, sent by tracked courier and ONE MONTH later get a preapproved return as BOOKS WERE USED - another month goes back and books arrive to me (courtesy of me being charged return postage) and yes, the books were used - in fact they were old, creased and two even had pupils names written inside (plus school details which …surprise surprise…were of the local primary school close to where the ‘buyer’ lived - these dishonest internet shoplifters know that sellers get completely shafted with such actions - i havent wasted my time contacting amazon as they will do absolutely nothing
