New Account Seller Account Not Activated after 5 DAYS
Whilst Amazon have taken payment for my new seller account. The Account till shows Deactivated. it had asked for ID which I submitted days ago. The system shows the mandated information has been submitted but the account still shows deactivated.
I do alot of buying on Ammazon and I’m a small shareholder. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined this level of Non-Service when attempting to open a seller account. I’m not sure I have chosen wisely at all trying to expand my business onto this platform. There is no feedback so far. I have sent messages and yet there have been no replies from Amazon apart from automated Tease of an email which states I can add products and start selling. Which I cant as they have not activated the account.
So it looks to me like my first month’s fee is simply being wasted by Amazon itself.

Unfortunately if you read the other forum posts, seller verification is currently taking weeks not days. In the meantime you can downgrade your account and ask for the £30 to be refunded.

Thank you for your replies. I can now see this is just standard Amazon behaviour. It’s not the serious business service I am looking for so will focus the majority of my expansion on alternatives. I think any company that is careless in responding or communicating with customers shows a shoddy unreliability that probably reflects on the performance one can expect going forward.
The £30 is neither here nor there. Will be legally interesting to see if they continue to take payments before activating the account. Such a pity. Disappointing.

The ‘Downgrade’ option and the ‘Close Account’ option are inactive with the account in this deactivated/not yet activated state.
I honestly cannot take the facility seriously. I know its got loads of power and traffic etc., but if they are this disrespectful of customers it cannot expect respect in return. Nope my mind is made up, the majority of my effort heading in a different direction. I have been running my small business for 11 years, I’ve survived fine without selling on Amazon, it’s only an experimental expansion notion anyway. Certainly not worth scraping knees begging them for a seller account activation. There are alternatives, sadly not directly for FBA but I’ll see what I can find.
