Selling in the USA from UK and the handmade market place
Hi I am very new to amazon so forgive me if this has been asked many times before. But how do I sell on amazon in the USA. I have amazon for European market places and it seemed I had to separately sign up for amazon.com seller account is that right or am in danger of having a duplicate account. Also I just heard about the handmade market place can someone tell me where I go to apply is this from the normal seller dashboard? Thanks in advance

You will have to apply in .com and go through the verification process. We decided not to do handmade, but sell in normal selling categories. We have many customisation options, and the handmade section only allows 1 tiny photo. I believe Amz are making changes , but still won’t be as good as normal listing.
Once your .com is open…customers are very reluctant to pay for shipping UK to US unless it’s a very special product and low shipping cost. We sent stock to FBA USA. If you do ,make sure you send it DDP shipping terms and check that your courier will custom clear for you. We use DHL.

But if going down the FBA route make sure you speak with an accountant As there are different tax legislations in each county
You would also require a specific insurance policy to store stock in US FBA warehouses which from reports on here, is over £1000 a year
