What’s the best way to get feedback

I sell a lot with amazon however get very little feedback left
Is there a way to get more I have tried the usual system where emails are sent to the buyer asking for feedback or a product review but most of the customers did not read it as it shows open emails
I have since cancelled that system as felt it was not working

I am sorry to hear that you are seeing few customers leave you feedbacks.

Personally, I have never been getting more than one rating out of 300-500 processed orders. On Amazon, the feedback rates are generally low.

I can imagine that most buyers aren’t even aware they are buying something from a 3rd party seller.

That’s why they are less likely to post any ratings compared to eBay, where everything is more personal and sellers are able to leave feedbacks for their customers as well.

Regarding soliciting ratings through the buyer-seller messaging or e-mails, I would advise you not to do this and most buyers see the unwanted communication as spam and it’s the main reason why many of them opted out of the buyer-seller messaging.

You may have better luck including a note in your packages, something along the lines of “I appreciate your business! Please let me know how you feel about your purchase by leaving a seller feedback.” Or something similar.

Unfortunately people tend not to leave feedback unless it’s negative

As Kika wrote only a small percentage of orders will result in getting a feedback. And also that’s really true what she said about not being aware about buying from 3rd party seller - when customer click on buy now or add to basket they rarely know from which seller they buy it from - they buy via amazon and they think that they buy from amazon as well.

Including a note in packages is a pretty good idea though you must remember one very important thing - you can ask for a feedback - yes, but you cannot ask for GOOD/POSITIVE feedback in a straight message - you cannot tell the customer something that indicates you want a good feedback. You want to know if the customer was happy or not - the feedback will tell you this
