I’m writing to inform you that prices will be changing for our Retail Letter products. These price changes will come into effect on 7 November 2022 . As a result, there will be no price increases taking place for these products in January 2023.

I was just about to post about this.
It makes me laugh as the last price increase I think was in April this year so saying they have brought in a new increase and then promising not to do in anything in January seems peculiar. This suggests to me that this will be addition to the natural annual increases.
Gotta love Royal Mail, offering disrupted rubbish services and hitting the sector of the market they know full well they are trying to dispose of. I can see Royal Mail falling apart.

Trying to look on the positive here, any chance this means the pay increase has been agreed and the strikes all sorted nehind the scenes but not announced yet! 
Edit - funny how the fuel increase which was to cover the exceptional increase in fuel costs hasn’t been reduced now fuel has come down by 40p a litre!

I’m still a little confused. Is this just for those with a RM business account? I’ve not heard the term Retail Letters before. Just curious. (And YES to the person who said RMs pricing structure is confusing - and over complicated with too many thresholds.)
As an aside, at the PO today I got handed the new barcoded stamps. The server said they only got told yesterday they had to start using them immediately and stop selling the older style full stop. Communication between them is abysmal.
Anyway, with this new letterbox size, under 1kg Evri service, I’m doing less with RM. Esp now with the strikes. So far, touch wood, all’s been ok. And it’s cheaper and so far, much quicker. Hoping come the next RM price rises, I won’t actually need to raise prices, except for letters.
