RM Deliveries Latest. How are you doing?
So I ship all my items RM48 and I closed for xmas on the 12th. I usually have about 2 out of 500 orders a week that go missing or arrive late.
Just today I’ve had 8 emails asking for refunds for missing/late orders. This does not bode well for the next ten days!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

If they are orders from the end of Nov then the reason is they are still in a backlog - possibly not to be delivered, at all. Some batches of mail (that have missed internal RM metrics) have been written off in favour of new mail (meeting RM metrics)
^^ that’s what I was told anyway.

Same here, 5 emails this morning. Similar yesterday. All for orders posted on Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th December. Letters & parcels. It’s like they’ve just binned a few sacks.
Grim.

Had a few emails, generally people that didn’t realise that the strikes, time of year ect would affect the delivery time. We upgraded all our posting to RM24 at no extra cost to the customers hopefully this may help them arrive in time. Orders are a lot less than last year which is a factor of the strikes, and Amazon dont help when they put this on the listings just so they can sell a few more gift cards ( see below )

Had stuff posted just after the november strike dates finally trickling in over the last week posted 22/11 delivered some this week. Also got a bag or 2 missing in action from 2/12. Annoing as i upgraded everything after that date to 24/24 tracked and all that is arriving next day. Agreed on the metrics as we experienced this under covid when 2nd class stuff was left at the back and anything new coming in was sent out first to maintain the metrics once its late its late no matter how much.

I put a 2nd claim in so far (10 items) for items that are “lost” after being dispatched on 28th November (basically customers don’t willing/able to wait as the date (birthday etc) has past)
One customer has got back to me to say that her order from 28th November arrived today (which suprised us since they’re on strike… supposedly… I guess they finally decided to work on the backlog)
Complaints are now starting to come in about items posted on 2nd December so am asking people to wait as hopefully it will arrive.
All in all most people on Ebay have been patient enough, Amazon customers are a bit more impatient and aggressive in their messages, but most are still sympathetic and willing to wait where possible. On saying that despite doing about 5x the orders on Amazon than I do on Ebay, the majority of messages are coming from Ebay customers.

tempting fate, but hardly any issues at all with RM deliveries. A marked contrast to Xmas 2020 (Covid times) when I was getting streams of messages from customers about non deliveries

I really would like to send out a standard reply but I’ve no idea what to say anymore. Its like its sapped every last bit of me. I’m now refunding more money than I’m taking on a daily basis.

Anything Tracked is arriving (albeit it very late) Anything Large Letter on the other hand… disappeared in to space never to be seen again.

2 AtoZ Claims so far today. About 10 emails every day since last week. I have a template email saying to wait till saturday and i will refund if there still nothing. Some people just opened the claim with out contacting. Metrics are taking a hit and i fully expect to be suspended. I changed all my handling times and have sent stuff out crl24 royal mail.and not my normal 48hr. Its all from the 28th Nov and 5th Dec. Think they are keeping our mail hostage somewhere. i have a evri collection that was meant to be pick up yesterday and still waiting today for it to be collected.
