Amazon FBA sent back my products and I don't know why
Today I received 3 packages from amz returning 2 products to me. The packing slips (see below) say "Amazon .com vendor return--Overstock(RA#JEA3J-N14iznzw/P-" followed by the warehouse code from where it was shipped. These products are not expired. I shipped them on March 10 of this year-Shipment ID FBA1721F87QN, Ref ID 5FLKL1TV. They are relatively new and are not big sellers but they sell. My storage utilization is less than 25 cf. Why are these sent back to me? Could this be some setting I created that made this an automatic removal?

Yes, there are various automated functions (which get turned on by default) to handle inventory hitting LTSF. Since you shipped these on March 10, they have been there long enough to start getting charged the extra storage fees; so the auto removal process kicks in. I have no idea how it decides how much product it should return.
You can adjust these settings here:

Sounds like you have your automatic removal set to 6 months.

This is actually a good thing for you, this auto removal prevents you from massive storage charges generated by long-term storage fees.

Maybe, but very likely not.
On the Sellers ask Sellers forum, there was a discussion along these lines; unless the overstock is severe, the cost of paying for removals, then paying to ship back in within a few months (this is the busy season, after all) was much more than the cost of storage, even with the higher Q4 rates and the >6 month charges.
The actual math may vary by product; for me (I sell only books; small but heavy), the cost of a removal order is often greater than the total storage fee for 11 months.

Yes, what you said is true.
What I actually meant was, automation is always a good thing when you know how to comprehend that into your workflow. Calculation is seller's job, so if you think it's not worth it, don't do it.
But if you know how to calculate it right, with the right automation 1 person can do an army's job, it will save you tons of troubles.
