High FBA, Label and Polybag Charges
Hello House, I am getting high FBA charges, High Label Charges and Polybag charges on my products I sent to FBA. This is affecting my sales As I need to increase the price of the item if I must make little profit and the implication is that the sales will drop as customers will want to buy items at a good price. please how can I get this issue resolved? Should I write to Amazon to get the high FBA charges issue resolved?

If you are concerned about the high charges why not prep the items yourself ?

You need to be more specific. Are they higher than you expected, or weren’t you expecting them? Is it because of VAT or have Amazon charged you for unplanned prep?

Not sure what your complaint is.
The charges are explained when you do FBA and you can either accept the charges in full or make your own arrangements.
There are certain aspects to FBA which I think are expensive ie the label and polybag charges is a good example therefore we take care of this ourselves. In fact it is a good thing because having certain parts being done in-house to make savings can give a competitive edge.
If it is purely the prep charges then the answer is to either increase to cover the cost or prep them yourself. Please note there are fairly strict guidelines that you must follow in order to make sure the goods are prepped well before hand. Ie everything must have a clear barcode applied to it and the packaging instructions must be clear.
Amazon want to be able to just grab the item off the shelf and pop it in the post for dispatch.
If you are asking them to open up boxes and somehow split stock up without clear labels and collated together then it is a labour intensive process so they naturally charge you for this.
If the charges are unexpected then you need to contact the fba team on seller support and explain exactly to them what you were expecting and why to see if a mistake has been made on your part or theirs.
I would only suggest contacting Amazon if you feel there is an error with the charges. If you just think they are too high then contacting seller support won’t help you. Seller support can only assist with technical know how and most of this gets passed up the line. If you just disagree with the pricing structure then up your prices and lose the sales to someone that is perhaps prepping them in-house. It’s up to you.

Erm, Amazon are not going to reduce the charges for you.
Were you not aware of all the charges involved when setting up FBA ?

Hello, seeing as it is a relevant topic, I wonder if someone could advise, please?
I have the product which goes into a reinforced envelope how I am currently sending items.
With FBA I can send the products, with the Amazon barcodes affixed correctly as is. Or I can pack the product and put the Amazon barcode on the envelope ( back? ) ?
Either way I can add the barcodes myself and do not need Amazon doing this but would I save by packing the product as well?
Appreciate any advice. I have searched this kind of thing but am not getting anywhere and I tend to steer away from just applying common sense logic to these kinds of things as they have their own logic.
Many thanks

Looking at your previous posts, you are selling Adult products therefore check the prep guidance

Thanks all for your reply. I know there are charges for Label and Polybag for preparation, but it is coming higher than I expected, maybe contacting the sellers support is my only option right now.
