Amazon refunded a customer from my account without my permission
I received a email that a refund had been processed for a item not delivered when I woke up this morning so I knew I hadn’t authorised it.
No one else has access to my account so I knew it was Amazon.
I tracked the order and the item had been delivered but more importantly how are Amazon allowed to reimburse customers on seller fullilled order - surely this is only allowed if it is fullilled by Amazon or a A to Z claim granted.
Just great a £65.00 refund for a received.
I am in contact with Amazon but dont think they will sort it - this shold not be allowed.

Was the tracking number added to the order at the time you marked the order shipped and was it a signed for service used?

Hi
Yes, it was Royal Mail Tracked 24 purchased through Buy Delivery on Amazon which is linked to my Royal Mail Business account.

I have had exactly the same thing this week for an £80 order. Tracking shows delivered on time and Royal Mail insist on the phone it has been delivered.
The problem is that RM are useless when trying to make a claim it takes them weeks and, then they still just look at the tracking and say it is delivered. As if I could not just do that for myself. Their investigations are as useless as a chocolate fireguard. I am sure they have a polcy that if they send you pointless emails and leave it long enough you will just forget about it. So given that they are never going to admit liability or tell you anything about leaving it with a neighbour or whatever, we are still faced with having to refund or replace the item if the customer says they don’t have it.
Was the order SFP, if it was make a Safe-T claim for it in the drop down menu under orders you may get a refund. However Amazon seem to manage to take the order fee off again from the momney they refund you, but they have already had the fee when the item sold so I am finding it difficult to work out what the deduction is and and their replies are as clear as mud of course. You get a load of waffle about vat but as my items are zero rated there is no vat to deduct and it does not even work out as the amount the vat would be.
