HMRC Account deactivated

Hello,

@Julia_Amazon @Ezra_Amazon @Sakura_Amazon_ @Sarah_Amzn @Simon_Amazon @Spencer_Amazon @Winston_Amazon @Maja_Amazon @Ash_Amazon @Abella_Amazon @Angie_Amazon @JiAlex_Amazon

I am reviewing my seller account and noticed that, in 2019, Amazon UK attempted to deactivate my account directly. In 2020, it appears that HMRC requested Amazon to deactivate my account.

Since a significant amount of time has passed, I am now unsure of the exact reason for the account suspension. However, given the HMRC request and the fact that my account did not have an active VAT number, I suspect this was the main issue.

I would like to clarify the specific reason for the suspension so that I can resolve the issue and resume selling in the UK.

Although I have contacted Seller Support, I only received a response instructing me to submit an appeal through the correct channel.

Additionally, when submitting an appeal via the Account Health page, it asks for a "basic name." Could someone please explain what this "basic name" refers to?

I would appreciate any advice or clarification from the community.

Thank you.

No-one here can possibly know why your account was deactivated. If HMRC requested Amazon to deactivate, then is that possibly be because you SHOULD have been VAT registered here and weren't ?? Don't have a clue what 'basic name' is, but presumably your seller name ?

Hello @Seller_GVgUqvwD4JBa2,

In order to submit an appeal, you need to go to your Account Health pages, there you will see a banner with a button to REACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT. Once you click the button it will take you to the next page where can submit your appeal and learn more about the violations.

I hope this helps.

Regards, Spencer
