Changing Account Ownership
I am considering changing my ownership of my business, which will include my Amazon account to my partner, as currently taking up a full time degree and feel I do not have as much time as I previously did. Have spoken to Amazon, which have confirm this will have to go through verification. Does anyone know of any potential issues this might have on the account? Obviously we expect the account to be down for verification, but not sure of the time period of that either. Any advise welcomed. Thank you.

At the time, when I changed my own Seller Account’s ownership, I had to go through a new verification and I was asked to submit various documents, which were getting rejected and I had to submit them again and again.
It was a rather difficult process during which the entire account was suspended and it took more than 3 weeks.

Thanks for the reply Kika. This account was initially setup in 2015. I have been told there are some disadvantages of accounts created after 2016, such as mandatory fortnight disbursements without the ability to initiate them yourself, more product selling restrictions, etc. Do you know from your experience if a change in ownership will change the accounts status to act as if it was setup post 2016? Any advise welcomed. Thank you.
