Military Family Overseas - Without TIN
Our account is at risk of de-activation because we cannot comply with DAC7. We are a military family living overseas temporarily (Germany) who sells in the U.S., we were obligated to put our business address as Germany, because as you know we have to verify our address with a form of bill. As a military family we DO NOT have a TIN here in Germany so we do not have to pay taxes here!!!! However, Amazon does not let me proceed unless we have a TIN!!! I have contacted Amazon Support and they cannot figure out what to do, unfortunately I have to come to this forum and seek answers. They have told me that they never experienced this situation, yet they have done NOTHING to help me out and do not care. We told them we can provide proof that we are military but they never reached back and are ghosting us.
Again we are at risk of deactivation and it would be a shame that we be deactivated for a dumb reason, especially during the most important quarter!! Has anyone experienced this? How can I escalate this situation!!!!!!????????

Thank you for the information provided regarding the situation with the missing TIN number. Do you have a business registration number? Is this something you could provide in place of the TIN? Would you be able to share the case information that you have been working on?
We will require more information to be able to provide guidance. Please refer to this thread to avoid confusion on the topic.
Best,
