Return for no reason?
We have just had a customer in Germany put in a return request for a floor standing book holder but has given no reason for return. I always believed that the customer had to give a reason so obviously I was wrong. As it is we have messaged this customer asking why they want to return it - they have had it fifteen days and it requires some assembly so it seems odd not to have a return reason.
Thoughts anyone?

No return reason needed.
But as a simple change of mind then if this was a sale on DE and you have a DE return address then they pay for the return postage, if a sale on .co.uk then the DE buyer has to pay the return to the UK
If however it is a DE sale but you don’t have a DE return address you have to supply a pre paid return label to the UK

Germany has by far the highest rate of returns of all countries we deal with. I’m not sure about furniture, but in the categories I see in, we have to accept all returns, regardless. (in line with various time limits of course)

We had so many returns from Germany (mostly no longer needed) that we stopped all sales there.
