2nd class large through Amazon
Can someone help me here please?
I have a franking machine at home and send all my orders out via 2nd class large. I’ve been doing this for years and it has been very successful vertually no issues from customers.
I have now been lead to believe I have to buy stamps through Amazon. How does this work? Do i have to print something off for every order and stick it to my parcel? Will there be a tracking number to enter on my computer next to each order?
I really dont understand this and I seem to be getting just a standard reply from Amazon when I query it.
Is it just me that’s totally confused because all this seems like a lot of unnecessary work?

As you know, you can no longer use the franking machine
You need to go to the order and click buy shipping
You enter the weight and dimensions and then choose the delivery method
To the right of this, you click to choose what size label you need and then next to that, you tick the box to say you are not sending anything prohibited and then click buy shipping
A pdf will open with your label which you print and attach to your parcel and either drop in a post box or take to the PO
All the despatch info and any tracking is automatically uploaded , you don’t need to add anything yourself
The cost is deducted from your amazon balance
You can just choose standard 2nd class , it doesny have to be tracked if using Buy Shipping
Unless of course you want to buy tracked for insurance

This new policy was first emailed to everyone back in February, with several updates and announcements about it - so how have you missed it all ? - plus dozens of threads her on the forum about it all.
To be honest, Amazon Seller support do not have a clue and the forum is the best place for corrst help, advice and info.
There are many sellers who have franking machines and have to say that it seems that Amazon did not take that into account, as the stamps/franking option is no longer valid for VTR.
You do not HAVE to buy all your postage labels from Amazon, but if you do you will at least know that you will not be suspended due to poor VTR and all the info will be automatically uploaded by Amazon when you purchase the label - and yes, you do have to print it off and stick to your parcel.
You do have to buy ALL letter size labels via Buy Shipping, but can choose any other method.

Thanks Jilly,
I did get this back in February and I spoke to Amazon who told me the only thing I had to do was click on stamps/franking in the drop down list and that would be it.
Clearly not.!!!
