Amazon say that the only holidays this Christmas/New Year are Christmas Day and New Years Day.
and that 26th, 27th, December along with January 2nd are not holidays
this is despite the UK Government website detailing otherwise
My concern is that for those of us unable to despatch on the 27th December (especially those of us enrolled in seller-fulfilled-prime) - we would need to either leave “Prime” turned off or put the account in holiday mode to avoid orders expecting despatch on the 27th December. (and possibly 26th December if Amazon are to be believed)
Since an earlier change on the amazon web portal - it is now not possible to set “No Collection” against any of the courier options on a particular weekday when you set the option to edit individual days of the week.

"Please be informed that as per Amazon guidelines only Christmas Day and New Year will be considered as Amazon listed holidays. Holidays are non-operational days in your marketplace that Amazon specifically lists. Amazon does not count these holidays when calculating the expected dispatch day and customer delivery promise. You can set a holiday as an operating day if both your business and the carrier that you use operate on the holiday.
_Please note that sellers do not have an option to manually add new holidays and they are expected to normally carry out fulfillment on non holidays. _
We understand that you might not be happy with the outcome of this case, but please note that this decision is made in line with the policy and is final. "
But then in turn Amazon Shipping (for those of us using that service) list the 26th as no deliveries/no collections - and 27th December along with 2nd January are both correctly detailed as “Replacement Bank Holiday” for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day respectively with opt-in for collections for those that require them.

if i remember correctly, last year they added the holidays in lieu quite late on
This may sound flippant - but honestly just put holiday mode on at 4pm on the 23rd Dec and off again at 4pm 2nd Jan
Take a break and enjoy the holiday. Dont let Amazon bully you into working days you do not want to work just because they cannot make allowances for the bank holidays.
