Entire FBA shipment missing > checked in
Hi folks
Realise this is not unique sit (& similar cases seem to be increasing, unfortunately), but having a rant IIH: sales were going well pre-Christmas so restocked via FBA shipment to BHX4 mid-Dec, Shipment checked-in ok & listings appeared live for couple of day, then went CLOSED with 100% discrepancies - nothing received whatsoever; I obv sent an empty box to FBA! Raised case with SS & they admit contents are missing & will sort reimbursement - but this will be obv ‘fair value’ & as handmade manufacturer there are no similar MSKUs to reference re values. I also have lost listing ranking/SEO as SKUs are now out of stock + potential reviews = marketing visibility. No point me arguing the toss re reimbursement valuations as only supplier invoices I can furnish are for raw materials & bear no relation to end product RRPs. Raising issue here just in case anyone has any useful advice plse on poss avenues for escalating this (pointless me asking on Handmade as most sellers don’t use FBA - they hava a point! - also teaches me a lesson re shipping nice shiny jewellery things that make ideal presents in lead-up to Christmas: big mistake!)! Many thanks anyone…

A few weeks ago they have lost our shipment with items that have never been FBA, but they reimbursed us based on MFN sales history. I believe it should be the same in your case. Invoices are required only to prove that you have had the stock physically.

I currently have:
100 units
160 units
80 units
40 units
All missing. Some have been reimbursed, some they are saying i sent empty boxes that weighed 12kg each, some they placed in stranded inventory.
Even better, over in australia i sold a bunch of units from 2 asins. They then removed all units and put them in sidelined inventory. I asked about it and they placed them back in stock…thats great but why do i now have 30+ extra units
Amazon baffles me.

I’ve been in this situation, you just need to generate an invoice from your production department to your sales department for the amount that would have been your profit after Amazon fees.

You are in effect supplying yourself so create your own invoice from your maunufacturing department to your sales department or vice versa

We’ve just had a shipment sent a week before the holidays. It shows delivered 21 Dec and today shows all stock as not received and discrepancies.
It hasn’t been checked in or showing as delivered by Amazon, only UPS showing that it’s delivered.
I think many would be in a similar situation.

Many thanks for your helpful advice everyone. Amz have at least reimbursed (without an argument) at values not too far short of current listing prices - so prob shouldn’t complain compared to some horror stories I see; not a total loss anyway!
