Buyers hiding their identities

We are being plagued by purchasers copying our listings and selling on other platforms without our permission. They purchase from Amazon then expect us to drop ship to their customers all the time hiding their identities from us. This is bringing both Amazon and us into disrepute as we have no control over the descriptions that they are using to sell our products. We have had instances where they wish to return goods for spurious reasons also. Are other sellers suffering similar problems ? Any advice how to stop this ?

You can’t. Dropshippers are the scourge of this platform, as thousands of sellers will atest. However, at the end of the day, your products are being purchased and the only way you can prevent this (though very radical) is not to sell those products.

If they are causing you problems then the most effective way to beat them is to list on the same marketplaces.

If you list your products on eBay etc. then maybe you’ll get the sales directly rather than them?

I generally don’t have any issues with dropshippers.
They take the orders at the price I want for a reasonable profit, so can’t see why that would be a problem.

But I don’t see how they can hide the customers identities from you, if they want you to ship to them?
You need their name and address to be able to do so.

Unless the product is your specific brand, then I can’t see it harming anything.
If it is, then you need to list your items where they are being sold at a lower price. That will kill any market they are going for.
Police it. Make complaints to Ebay etc.
It takes time and effort, but if you want to do something about it, you can do.

if there are returns then you have no option but to accept for any reason.

If customers are willing to pay them higher amounts then maybe you are selling too cheaply.

You could ALWAYS include the Invoice/Delivery Note and show the price the drop-shipper paid and your name/address/phone number/email address details on that invoice.

Then the Buyer will know they bought from a drop-shipper.

However, that also often means the item will be returned with a bogus return reason as the Buyer will moan to the Drop-shipper that they paid too much.

Had a nightmare A-Z claim from a company selling it on at {Moderator edit (Jessica):external link removed}.

Absolute scamsters trying to file an A-Z before returning rather large quantities. The annoying thing is they had the cheek to say I interrupted their business flow. I’m sure trying to get amazon to grant them a refund without returning thousands of pounds of goods would have made their business flow much better. They have an amazon seller account too but judging by their few ASINS (I’m competing and winning on all of them), amazon sales is non existant but by the volumes they were ordering from me, there must be quite a bit of money selling them on at {Moderator edit (Jessica):external link removed}. I considered starting to sell on there too just to interrupt their business flow… forever.
