Customer claims to have received an empty box, 47 days after delivery
Hello forum,
Just received an email for an order which placed a month and a half ago. The item was signed for UK mail and was delivered 47 days ago (3 days after the order was placed).
The customer has just claimed the box was item yet this is clearly not the case and we have postage weights to prove it.
I know the UK returns policy is 30 days and this is long past that. Does anyone know what the best advice to handle this ? I’ve responded to the buyer asking for confirmation.
Many thanks in advance

Not at the moment.
Amazon have extended this until the end of June for anything bought from early February… so unfortunately the return is still in policy.

Surely if the box was empty, as they say (!), they won’t have anything to return ! - or are you really meaning the time for them to claim a refund ?

I open my orders the same day as they arrive and if there is a problem notify the seller. I would not wait 47 days after delivery. Can I ask what the weight of the item is? When registering a claim with your courier they will ask the seller for proof.

Contacted the customer and had no response back but they’ve left a negative feedback rating, in which they asked for another one to be sent.
Seems like its just a scam to try get a free item.
I can request removal of the feedback, anyone have any advice for this ?
