VTR of 0% please help
Hi, I had an email 2 weeks ago warning me my valid tracking rate was 0% even though I thought I’d chosen the right options as I sent out using first class post. I switched to Hermes and entered tracking numbers ever since but my valid tracking rate is still showing as 0%. What am I doing wrong and how often do these VTR percentages get updated? Amazon is causing me so much stress

when did you switch ?
the VTR report is only showing orders with a PDD of 24 Jun 2021 - 23 Jul 2021 at the moment so if you only switched to Hermes a couple of weeks ago, they will not be on there until later this week
Amazon have stated that they made a mistake telling sellers that 1st Class is exempt - its not anymore

We’ve had the same problem. All our orders were apparently N/A until now, suddenly emailed with notice of 0% VTR on non-exempt orders. The orders appear to be all those with Royal Mail 2nd (but not franked/stamps). I thought these were pretty much the same thing according to forums! We send all items out from the local post office using stamps etc
Can I go back and EDIT CONSIGNMENT and change to franked/stamps? Will this be reflected in the %VTR?

Yes Click & Drop saves us a lot of time that we use to improve Amazon sales… so I wonder if Amazon will change this soon because we rely on this. I am told by SS that they’re looking into it and will respond to my case when they have more information. My VTR is now almost 0%. Waiting… patiently.

I’ve been in touch with Amazon over this.
I use many options for shipping but the key ones are Hermes, Collect Plus and Royal Mail.
I ran in to problems in June as I switched from Hermes to Collect Plus as a test, after some shipping issues.
Collect Plus - select Yodel, other, Collect Plus and then add the long number but if you copy and paste make sure you switch to the standard “0” and not the “Ø” from the barcode as Amazon won’t accept that character.
So I sorted that, but ran in to problems with Royal Mail, as I ship quite a few small components as Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Large Letter.
Amazon have told me that I should use the “stamps/franking” option for the untracked and unsigned and they are then VTR exempt. So I use this now for all standard RM whether Parcel or Large Letter.
It is working, so my VTR at last review had got back up to 90% from a low of 37%.
It will be above 95% at the next review as the last few glitches drop off.
Hope that helps.

Its awful isn’t it. I switched to Hermes, but then they lost two parcels, and as I’m a small seller the impact was huge. Then I just put RM 1st or RM 2nd with no tracking details. Went up to 100% for a couple of weeks, then plummeted to 6%.
I changed all the details retrospectively to RM stamps / franking, and I now have 100% N/A.
I expect we’ll all l have another hoop to jump through before long.

Sorry to read that. I am having similar situation as am doing what I should yet VTR fluctuates despite me doing all. I told SSupport and opened a case that is currently being looked into.
I’ve had the scary email too and feel for you. Make known ur situation & see if having to investigate the likes of us alerts high-ups to the chaos they have let slip.
Fingers crossed, open Case and Good luck.

Sorry to jump on this thread but also having issues with a 0% VTR rate. We have been selling on Amazon since 2016 exclusively FBA but started FBM as an option about 6 weeks ago as Amazon won’t let us hold enough stock all the time. All our FBM are small parcels 2nd class and we have been taking to Post Office and buying postage there. Each time we confirm shipment, we enter the 16 digit reference number from our Royal Mail receipt but a couple of days ago our VTR rate went from N/A to 0%. Should we be entering Royal Mail 2nd class franking/stamps instead and putting in that 16 digit reference number in there instead? We have an open ticket at SS and they are looking into it but totally confused as to what we should be doing! Any help would be much appreciated!

Possibly this may have been mentioned before on another thread somewhere.
Having checked the tracking numbers on the RM website of the 20 or so orders that are showing on Amazon as not having valid tracking I note that every single one is showing as ‘An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item’
I know some of the items have in fact been delivered as we have received feedback confirming so it must be that these 20 items were not scanned by the delivering postie, but Amazon seems to equate that to not having valid tracking - clearly incorrect.
Or am I missing something…

Naturally this is so much confusion over this VTR system and driving everyone potty. We use stamps to dispatch the order because the value of the order and Royal Mail terms of claim.
From the drop down below there is a lot of confusion which one to select either Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking or 2nd Class Stamps Stamps/ Franking or just Stamps/Franking.
If they could give clearer policy sellers would not have this issue. Why are we unfairly targeted by stats when they cannot give clear instructions?
