Does FBA stock level affect search result
Im wondering if amazon favours sellers with more stock currently in FBA than other sellers who have fewer items in FBA. When a buyer types in what they are looking for would amazon push the seller with more stock in FBA up the ranking ?

Not with more stock necessarily, but if you always have stock in, that will improve things.
It is one of the things that they measure for buy box availability, I believe.

Not directly BUT…
Many customers search on “Prime-Only”.
One of the rankings Amazon apply is how quickly the customer will receive the item.
Since the FBA stock could be anywhere (or multiple anywheres) around the UK, then another seller might have FBA stock closer to the customer than you do.
I don’t think there’s any official confirmation that this is applied, but it would seem logical from Amazon point of view.
Especially if a customer wants the ‘Same Day Delivery’ option.
More stock available, possibly, = greater spread around the UK.
