Product or shipment sent to the wrong fulfillment center - BUT it wasn't!
I always do my shipments and go through the entire automatic system ending up of course entering box info, then printing labels and sending via UPS - all via the auto system… I never try to change anything.
I now have a message on a shipment (where, by the way, they have all the quantities wrong too)
That says:
- Product or shipment sent to the wrong fulfillment center
this is stated on every item.
However, I sent to CWL1 (Swansea) as assigned and stated on the list, the label, the tracking confirms this etc etc
I’ve sent them a copy of my label and tracking image and asked them for an explanation - not just because I don’t want them thinking I’m doing stuff wrong… which I haven’t… but obviously, something went wrong I assume
Does anyone have any idea why this happens and what on earth could have gone wrong because I sure as heck did nothing at all outside of the Amazon routine that I have always followed… in fact, I wouldn’t even know HOW to send it to a different centre!
I know its probably not the end of the world, but I really value doing everything as properly as possible - and I hate that I have this as a black mark on my account, if that makes sense.
Thank you for any imput

Thats a new one!Just add it to the growing list of Amazons abject incompetance.

Who is your courier? There was talk on this board of UPS transferring shipments to different FCs (at Amazon’s request) when the original FC was too busy. Maybe that’s what’s happened here and Amazon are blaming you when they arranged the alternative.

we have had 3 of these notices in the last couple of weeks - its really annoying the warehouse manager, as each shipment was being sent to one FC only (so no chance of getting labels mixed up in split shipments) - each one sent to the label produced by Amazon…
We send via UPS set up by Amazon, so the only thing we can think of is they are getting them mixed up at their central hub, or something is getting crossed in the amazon system,
It does not resolve it, but at least we know we are not the only one it is happening to as it was driving him mad

I feel your pain - I also sent a shipment of slippers last week - each size / style I sent in either 12 or 24… each one Amaozn have counted as 24/48 (and each pair is in its own polybag and labelled)… I again have to “acknowledge” my error for the extra amount…
Thing is I can see now that they have only added the correct amount to my inventory. - did some muppet really count left shoe , right shoe as two items
