Why did Amazon refund a buyer 100 pounds

The buyer purchased on January 14, and he applied for a return on January 17, and the package has been returned to Amazon. The buyer's shopping model (17.99) has been refunded normally. Why did Amazon refund the buyer 100 pounds again on February 20 without receiving any reason for refunding

Hi zebracrossingl,

There was a recent forum post where someone reported a similar incident - "£15.99 order, customer refunded £165 by CW000" .

Did Amazon fund the extra £100 or did they take it from your account?

All Best

Brian

Raise a call with Seller Support and you will get a reimbursement for it.

It does happen occasionally but Amazon normally reimburse when they are made aware. I was told by SS that it should happen automatically but I have always had to raise a call for it to happen.

@Julia_Amzn seems like another case of amazon refunding much more than the item :(

Is there something in the agreement that says refunds can exceed the retail cost?
