No buy box (new FBA seller) - moderator required

Hi,

We're a new FBA seller who has been listed on Amazon for around a month now.

We don't have the buy box on any of our listings. Seller Support won't tell us what the issue is and we're being given no details on how to fix the actual issue.

Can a moderator help here. We've raised multiple cases (a couple of the IDs are 10042497232 & 10037582592), tried the managingdirector email address and no one at Amazon is helping.

To confirm, the product is not being sold cheaper elsewhere, Amazon aren't telling us to sell at specific prices, it's for our whole account.

It's believed its because new sellers now don't automatically get the featured offer, irregardless of whether they do FBA or not.

Used to be this only impacted FBM sellers - but due to Amazons comitments to satisfy CMA Competition concerns, amazon agreed the following...

"Guarantee all product offers are treated equally when Amazon decides which will be featured in the ‘Buy Box’. This relates to concerns that products being offered by third-party sellers were less likely to appear in the Buy Box than similar offers from either Amazon’s own retail business or third-party sellers that use Amazon’s delivery services"

What this meant in reality was that new FBA sellers don't automatically get the Featured Offer, as is the case with FBM sellers. As with FBM sellers, you need to build up a sales history before getting the featured offer.

All you can do to speed this up is find your Products from your Seller Profile page. Clicking on these links gives you a link that does show you as having the featured offer. You can use these URLs off amazon (ie on Social media) to get those initial sales.
