hello,
There is no need to pay VAT for sales in the UK because amazon automatically collects VAT money and remit it to the authorities, so in your account you will receive net money without VAT.
You are probably a European company that does not have a stable place in the UK only a UK VAT code and make FBA.
At least that’s how I understood it.
I hope you have been given a correct answer.

Same problem here. I am selling a book product (zero VAT) and Amazon is collecting 20% VAT.
My listing is created with product tax code A_BOOKS_GEN. Any ideas where is Amazon pulling the tax code information other than in the listing (offer tab) ?

Do we need to pay Vat if we ship the item from outside the UK ? Do we need VAT registration to sell on Amazon Europe below 100 USD ?

This is something we cannot understand
We sold an audio CD on Amazon.co.uk, which cost £20.99
The breakdown is as follows:
It means, we (a German company with German VAT ID) must pay tax to the UK authorities, right?
Does that mean we won’t have to pay this tax (VAT, USt.) in Germany? How does this regulate?
Is there any way to request this tax from the UK authorities and pay it in Germany? How does this all works?
