Blocking buyers
Hi there,
i am new to selling on Amazon after selling for a few years on eBay. The products we sell are of a low value so we send them out via Royal Mails normal service 1st class (not tracked) as it would not be viable. On eBay you have the option of “blocking buyers” who you suspect of and i find this tool really useful. Does any one know if Amazon has a similar tool? Or does anyone have a strategy to deal with these kind of customers?
thanks

Thanks Kingstar for the quick reply. Is there any tactic or strategy i can employ which can stop unscrupulous buyers forcing me to refund them when threatening with an A to Z claim?
thanks

As Russ says it isn’t a huge problem especially for low value items in our experience. We send the majority of our mail by franked mailmarked business class so it is untracked. In the two years being on here we have had about 6 or 7 INR claims but we have a scripted response we send along with a picture of their product on the franked envelope. Between the response and the picture 6 of them either found or had it delivered that day. If you read the forums you will see lots of horror stories but bear in mind if you compare these to the millions of transactions that go through without any issues I wouldn’t worry too much. With you selling low value items I wouldn’t stress to much about it and if you do get a persistent buyer you can take Russ’s advice and cancel the way he suggests.
