I have to change our seller account name and bank. does this affect our metrics/ star rating

Either one of these is enough to trigger re-verification.

If you are only planning to update the storefront name, then this would not trigger a verification.

A bank account number change will very likely.

In answer to your question - No.
Your Amazon seller account ID number remains the same, so your seller profile page will show any name changes but otherwise will remain the same (as will your metrics) and yes, expect re-verification as per Janet and Kika.
