Forgot to mark item as dispatched

Hi everyone - I recently received an order for a book and posted it the following day. But I forgot to mark it dispatched and only noticed about a week later. So it shows in my account health even though I posted it the following day, and marked the dispatch date as the day after the order was received. I don’t sell many items so it has put my late dispatch to 20%. Can I get this corrected or do I just have to accept it? And will one slip up like this lead to any deactivating of my account? Many thanks for your advice folks

Fingers Crossed that, as the item has been received, you won’t get any come-back from the Buyer. That’s the first thing.

Hopefully if AMZ do contact you regarding late dispatch you can point them to the fact that the item has been delivered without a problem, and no complaint from the Buyer.

I’d just let it ride, and it will hopefully drop off your Late Dispatch Rate in due course.

They don’t tend to penalise, or suspend your account, for one-off infringements.

It does just show that you have to be ‘on your toes’ with AMZ!

Thank you for writing to seller forum.

From your post I understand that your late dispatch late has been impacted due to late confirmation and you want our recommendation.

The late dispatch rate matrices is getting calculated every 10days or 30 days where it needs to be less than 4% and the dashboard will get refreshed to 0% after complete one month from the date of the delay.

It is important to confirm the shipment of orders by the Expected Ship Date.

To avoid any further issues that may be occurred due to the high Metrics you may send a proactive action plan where you need to address the below points:

  1. Root Cause: To understand in what would be the reason in why the Late Shipment Rate target was exceeded above the threshold. In my recommendation, it would be good if you could download the late dispatch rate report from seller central. The report will give the list of order ids that are impacting your account health.

  2. Corrective Measures: Once root cause is identified, mention what all steps you have taken in order to resolve the issue, you can mention this as your corrective steps towards resolution along with the suggestion in how the orders will be dispatched on time.

  3. Preventive Steps: Going forward how you are going to make your account better so, that you are not falling again into the late shipment rate category and you are maintaining the threshold below 4% and you have a fix for the problem in the long.

Once you are ready with the action plan you may send it to toseller-performance@amazon.co.uk

Hope this answers your query!!

Regards,

Mona

I agree with the other poster do nothing just wait for it to drop off.
By the way have you been paid for this order, somewhere it says if you do not confirm dispatch within 7 days the order will be cancelled and you will not be paid?

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your insights.

@JillyB1 Basically if the metrics goes above the threshold that may takes the account to the risk zone that is why we recommended to prepare the action plan until the appeal button reflect at the dashboard or you can send it proactively to the appeal team as proactive steps from your end.

I agree with @Blue_Eyed_Boy and @Barry1 to hold on for a while and appeal once needed.

@Elusive the email does not have "to"as its typo error.

Thanks,
Mona
