Getting billed before even activating my seller account

Hello,

I was unsuccessfully trying to setup a seller account (Europe), because I didn’t know that Amazon doesn’t accept prepaid credit card.
I gave up on the idea of creating a seller account since then. My seller account was never activated, but the problem now is that I received an email about a monthly fee Amazon charge for sellers.
I wanted to view and pay the fee from my account then delete my (incomplete) seller account permanently, but I could not do that because of the error message about my ‘invalid credit card’. That ‘Credit Card Invalid’ error appears no matter which button I click on!!!
I want your help to sort this out. (Unfairly) Pay what I have to pay and then delete my seller account asap.

I’ve managed to find a way to contact support and solve my problem. They even told me that the amount initiated to charge from my account has been cleared and that I will not be charged. :+1:

I am sorry to hear that you are having a difficulty with verifying your Seller Account.

Regarding the fee, this indicates that you signed up for the Professional Selling Plan (rather than Individual), even if it wasn’t your intention and this was done by a mistake.

Your payment method on file will keep getting charged unless you downgrade your Seller Account into Individual, regardless of it’s status or whether you are actively selling.

That’s correct, because one of the requirements of being able to operate a Seller Account on Amazon is having a valid charge method on file.

You will firstly need to update your account with a proper card, prior to being able to proceed with anything else.
