Harassment from another seller

We received the following threats on 5 August 2021. We are trying to alert this to Amazon but are receiving no response - how do we flag this so action is taken against this seller

This is the message. Has anyone dealt with something like this?

“Immediately remove B0946J29QX and all variants and brand names: YESMAN all products! ! ! All products! ! ! , The last chance, find and sell again, directly 30 smoke bombs, don’t worry, you won’t find it, you can kill you if you don’t break it, 30 is just the beginning, and discover again and stack up step by step until it breaks down. So far, I will be off the shelves before tonight and reply to my message, otherwise 30 will be released tonight. Get off the shelf immediately! ! ! Don’t continue to sell! ! ! ! If you ignore us, we will directly buy your products 5-20 orders per day. And we will keep complaining until the account is closed. But if you continue to sell this listing, we will buy your products in bulk again. We will continue Complaints. After that, we will keep buying, how many goods you will lose, how many credit card refusals you receive, how many complaints you receive, how much money you lose, and your account is blocked, and even your funds are frozen…we collect money, It will be done no matter what. —DJGM”

These messages are a very common tactic from Chinese sellers to remove competitors but in this case they appear to be in the right

Is the product you are selling “YESMAN Simple Dimple Sensory Fidget Blocks”? That is a branded listing. If your goods do not have that brand, you cannot sell on that listing. You need to remove your offer and then, if you want to continue selling them on here, create your own brand, or find/create a generic listing for your stock

This is one of Amazon’s sillier ideas, allowing sellers to buy generic goods, then apply their own “brand” to it, which stops anyone else from selling on that listing

Is the product you sell purchased from Yesman and branded Yesman - or is it generic/unbranded? The listing is clearly branded Yesman so if your product isn’t then you shouldn’t be selling on it.

And just to add to your troubles, it is very unlikely that this product complies with UK toy safety laws and/or has the required safety markings. There are now literally thousands of these fidget toys on Amazon and there have been a number of threads on here about their safety

You may be better off not trying to sell them at all, as the penalties for selling unsafe toys are severe: up to £5000 fine and/or 6 months jail per item and possibly unlimited damages (compensation) if a toy actually harms a child

I think this still needs reporting though.

Just because someone made a mistake does not mean they can throw around threats like that.

I hope you have reported this.

I’m sure if one of the forum mods were to see it, such as @Jessica. She might drop it on the appropriate persons job queue to take a look at. Possibly.

It does seem to be a very common occurrence these days. I get that the OP shouldn’t have used that listing but these threats should result in a suspension of the seller making them.

I have had a few of these myself over the last few years (always on Halloween items I sell, widely sold from China), usually followed by a couple of my cheapest items purchased and negative feedback in the same Chinese/English received. Happy Days.

If they have messaged you over amazon you can report it and amazon will look into it for you unsure how detailed they investigate into it and what their outcome is, I had a similar situation which is still ongoing with a competitor unfortunately they send threats over my website live chat and business email so amazon cant do anything outside of amazon, ridiculous when it is linked over amazon. Unfortunately you will always get people like this on selling platforms, just try to get all the evidence and information you can an report them. Good luck!
