If you sell non-food products in the EU and Northern Ireland, you’ll be required to meet General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requirements in 2024.
On December 13, 2024, the GPSR will introduce new requirements for most non-food consumer products.
To comply with the regulation, you’ll be required to do the following by December 13, 2024:
- Ensure all the products you sell in the EU and Northern Ireland meet existing labelling and traceability requirements.
- Have an EU Responsible Person for those products.
- Label the products with the contact information of the Responsible Person, the manufacturer, and, if applicable, the importer.
- Label products with the type, batch or serial number.
- Label products with safety information and warnings, where applicable, in the language of the country of sale.
- Display the Responsible Person information and the manufacturer’s name and contact details for each product in online listings.
- Display a product picture and any other information needed to identify the product in online listings.
- Display warning and safety information in online listings, in the language of the country of sale.

So being based in England we need a Northern Island based Responsible Person? We do not sell in the EU.

I've escaped the EU responsible person malarkey so far but now, we will all have to incur more costs to assign one and change all packaging to add their contact details. Incredible!
If I could switch off Northern Ireland, I would, but as far as I know, this is not possible for FBA. I would also have to switch off FBA Export and lose even more sales.
A ridiculous situation.

It would be helpful if Amazon can clarify that if we switch off FBM sales for Northern Ireland and EU that sellers will not be impacted by this. To expand on this if sellers are only selling to England, Scotland and Wales they will not be required to add responsible person information.
For FBA orders will it be possible to restrict sales to Northern Ireland going forward so that sellers are able to opt out of this regulation?
