Just like to say Thank you to Amazon
Amazon have lost an item ( Just 1 in the fba box ) weighing 18kg and around 50cm squared - but they managed to lose it.
Item is £209 with £30 profit. Costs £5 to ship it to Amazon.
But amazon as always - as paid out with a reimbursement - They have come up with the grand total of 64p, which is half a Mcdonalds coffee…
Double this up with being suspended in Germany, when i dont store products in Germany, do not trade over the threshold and never ever used pan whatever its called - but suspended because Amazon to save fees stored returns there and do not ever respond to my emails to reverse this suspensions… Just makes you lose the faith
Why on earth cant they implement basic common sense…

I would imagine, that the weight on the item is incorrect.
But in any case, you can escalate it. Open a case with support and argue it.
If you don’t get any joy, then escalate to the MD.
And I agree completely, particularly with the German VAT farce.
Amazon as usual, have taken a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
Lot’s of us in the same boat.

If you get nowhere escalating take Small Claims Court action for the full value of the item.

Last year we spent 2 days before Christmas sending in FBA shipments, not for Christmas but for the time in between Christmas and New Year. They lost all of them, 29 boxes. Thousands of pounds worth of stock.
It meant that two of us had to go in over the holidays, just to replace all this lost stock. Not as easy as you would think. UPS had a relief driver who wanted to do collections at 11am instead of 4pm. Then he refused to come back.
They found all the missing boxes in March.
Common sense? Amazon do not know the meaning…

They lost a pallet of advent calendars this year. This was at the beginning of November. They eventually reimbursed me (less than I had paid). I am terrified that the pallet will be found on the 26th of December.

I have put in an appeal, but turned down due to amazon dont accept commercial invoices !! Ridiculous…
I know what you mean about seasonal chocolate, we sent hundreds of chocolate reindeers last year, to be placed as unsellable, we had them returned to see if they had all been damaged and all was perfect. We asked amazon why they was unsellable and they told us out of date, they had 6 months on them, but then too late to send them back. £1000 of stock was then donated to charity.

Because they do not possess common sense

‘’ Why can’t they implement common sense ?’’
Because they are self entitled psychos, there’s no common sense, no sense of decency and no humanity when you are dealing with what is essentially a nutter. -everything works in amazon’s favour -all their little ploys to get you to pay more to them like FBA, clicks and s**t to help you sell e.t.c -only benefit them , never the seller.
If sellers got together and formed a union and went on strike until the nutcase applied a little common sense and human decency things might change but as it is, we all put up with the insane policies and arbitrary irrational nonsense

Selling off my last FBA items now and never using it again. Not worth the stress, hassle, terrible “seller support”, and huge cost compared to what you think you’ll be paying when you start. Much easier just doing it all myself and making way less mistakes and a way better profit margin
