Barcode Mania
I am a new seller on Amazon and placed my first product listing using Barcode Mania. Under Product Name the listing is showing ASIN instead of EAN, and displaying a different product name under the product descriptiion Is this a problem anyone else has experienced? How can this be resolved?

Barcodes from barcode mania are no longer accepted
You need to purchase from GS1 so that they can be matched with your brand / company name
The barcode most likely is already in use somewhere hence it showing a different product

Amazon ONLY accept barcodes from GS1, even though some of the other suppliers say in their blurb ‘compatible with Amazon’ or similar - they are NOT.

Some of my product pictures came up completely different to the ones I posted to the listing, barcode mania must have sold me reused barcodes related to other products. I got a refund from them. GS1 are meant to be ok though

Hey @Roots_Chic,
As @JillyB1 & @The_Little_Shop have stated (thanks by the way), GS1 is strongly recommended. Will add some links for you to review, Applying for a product ID, or GTIN, exemption, Obtain a Product ID and finally, the GS1 website GS1 UK.
