Size map values for kids trousers

Hi All,

I am listing some boys tracksuit bottoms and for each age variation its asking to input size map values. The valid values are 6,8,10,12,14 all the way up to 60. What do these numbers actually mean? Is it cm or inches and measuring what exactly? :s
