Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to both fellow sellers and Amazon moderators for some much-needed clarification regarding the current approval status for selling dietary supplements on Amazon in the U.S.
My team and I are launching a new brand of dietary supplements manufactured in the U.S., and we’re in the process of preparing everything for compliance—including labeling, documentation, 3rd party testing, and product quality assurance. Before moving forward with onboarding our listings, I wanted to make sure we fully understand the current landscape regarding Amazon’s approval policy for new sellers/new brands in this category.
Over the past few days, I’ve searched through numerous threads here on the forum and unfortunately found conflicting information. Some sellers mentioned that Amazon has stopped approving new sellers or new brands in the dietary supplements category altogether, while others shared that they’ve successfully gotten approved recently—some even as recent as last month.
Given how critical this is to our business planning, I would truly appreciate it if:
Amazon moderators @Seller_t9kvdr2yixQej @Seller_8hQgfj6OVZYse @Seller_WD80mtpYHjvBN @Seller_PIHyltK09pbl3 @Seller_GEZPMc4CeQfh6 could confirm the current policy:
– Does Amazon still approve new sellers and new brands to list and sell dietary supplements?
– If so, what are the specific steps or requirements we need to prepare for in 2025 to gain approval?
Fellow sellers who have recently (within the past 3 months) gone through this process could kindly share your experiences:
– Were you able to get approved?
– Any tips or best practices that helped?
– How long did the process take, and what documentation was key?
I believe many others who are considering launching in this category would benefit from a clear, updated response as well. Thanks in advance to everyone for your insights and support!
