Read onlyis it just ce marked products that the safety info applies to or all products? There is a do not apply button for all my listings but it would take a long time? The responsible person costs seem high, are there any that are a reasonable cost or companies that can help with all of this? Do you need a responsible person if there are no safety issues? Confused by it all to be honest, the costs seem too high and time consuming to sort out everything but I didn't want to lose the eu market. Do the safety labels/ additional labels print automatically also once everything is filled in/sorted out properly?
I can't answer your questions apart from maybe the 1st one - it applies to just about anything. Most of the exemptions are listed on https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/GQAYBJPNAZ2LMDDT I can't advise more than that, as I could be giving out wrong information. Each platform seems to be interpreting GPSR slightly differently.
I'm only posting to say that if you look at almost all the other posts on this topic and in this category, most have not a single reply from anyone. Including Amazon. I just wanted to wish you luck (I only sell to the UK on here and will be dropping the EU from my other stores) and bump your post - there's not a lot of time left to get ready and the silence, confusion, badly done pages on here, etc., must be so annoying. Especially if you have a lot of listings, products and sales to the EU.
Don't forget you'll need to remove Northern Ireland (in theory because its not clear if amazons interpretation of GPSR is even correct)
I know. But I won't. Until there's more clarification.

GPSR EU RESPONSIBLE PERSON
With SFP you cannot currently remove NI. Is that going to change?
With FBA, I do not think they will alow NI to be removed either.
Even on FBM, is removing NI the only way forward?
The problem is a lot of listings are Brand registered and you cannot alter anything to update as Amazon require, any way around that?

As it stands, amazons belief is still that because Amazon UK is not in the EU - then sales, even to the EU or NI fall outside of GPSR.
So if you want to actually comply with GPSR in full (which includes showing the information on the listings) for FBM, your only option would be to remove selling to EU and NI
But for FBA and SFP - you simply can't 100% comply with GPSR on amazon.
Heres how I interpret it, but do double check as I'm not an expert and am generalising a bit.
- If you ship to the EU (or Northern Ireland), by law the products need to have a responsible person and comply with GSPR whatever the item is (bar a very small list of things like food and drink)
- If you only sell on the .co.uk site then you don't need to upload anything to satisfy Amazon (but my first point regarding the law remains)
- If you list on EU sites then you'll need to upload the info
You don't say if you sell private label or have suppliers for branded products or something else but, VERY GENERALLY:
If you're private label:
- You'll need to comply with GPRS yourself and have an RP that you appoint by law if you ship to EU/NI
- You'll need to upload that info if you list on EU sites
If you're a reseller selling someone elses brand:
- You can contact the supplier to get the info you need, Your milage will vary. If they are a small Chinese company then I wouldn't hold your breath. A big european company then there's a good chance they'll have it in place.
That's all just my take on it so do double check!
For EU RP I found a Belgian company Vatai. Amazon does not allow me to post their website but search for the name. My contact there is called Andreas.
Depending on your volume, their price was very reasonable and Amazon accepts them.
Article 51 of the regulation - some are interpreting this as meaning it only applies to any new products you put on sale post Dec 13. Though, I'm not risking my business on some internet speculation. And does new mean, new as in a new product line. Or new as in new stock of an existing line already on sale.
Still stopping anyway (unless I change my mind) as with the packaging laws, I can do without the headache.
Article 51
Transitional provision
Member States shall not impede the making available on the market of products covered by Directive 2001/95/EC which are in conformity with that Directive and which were placed on the market before 13 December 2024.
Even if your product doesn't have any obvious safety concerns, you'll still need to appoint a responsible person according to the GPSR for traceability and compliance. The cost of this service varies, but you may want to consider consulting with a compliance partner based in Estonia, their prices are reasonable.
